November 19, Sunday

Georgia O’Keeffe said, “It takes courage to be a painter. I always felt I walked on the edge of a knife.”  Indeed, her art was edgy, but so was her life. Join Jane Schneeloch for an afternoon learning about O’Keeffe, her art, her life, and the poetry that it inspired. As you view some of O’Keeffe’s art, Schneeloch will read from her chapbook Climbing to the Moon, a collection of poems, each of which is inspired by an O’Keeffe painting and share some critical events in the life of this woman who has been called “The Mother of American Modernism.”

1:30 – 4:30pm   Fee: $40.  Pre-registration is required.

Leader: V. Jane Schneeloch

It is the duty of every cultured man or woman to read sympathetically the scriptures of the world. If we are to respect others' religions as we would have them respect our own, a friendly study of the world's religions is a sacred duty.
