Event:SELF-COMPASSION: A FAITHFUL PRACTICE
Date:July 25th to August 29th, 2020.
Time:9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Sorry! This series has been canceled.

During this COVID-19 pandemic, we can benefit from cultivating the faithful practice of self-compassion. So often in life, when struggles arise, we amplify them by responding with self-judgment and self-criticism. Take part in this retreat and explore other ways to respond. Listen to what faith teachers have to say about self-compassion. What is the connection between compassion for self and compassion for others? This retreat will combine teaching, reflection, and fellowship. Come remember what God sees when gazing at you. Come reconnect with your original goodness and original blessing, the Holy within you. The retreat will begin with an opening session to lay the foundation for our time together, followed by 4 weekly sessions, and a final, closing session. Each week, you will be introduced to new practices and have the week to explore them. We will share our experiences, our stories and our support through this time. NOTE:  August 29th session ends at 11 AM.

COST: $150.00

It is the duty of every cultured man or woman to read sympathetically the scriptures of the world. If we are to respect others' religions as we would have them respect our own, a friendly study of the world's religions is a sacred duty.
