It is not unusual for women approaching retirement to be surprised by what life has had to offer. At the same time often comes the realization that the care of the self, including body, mind, and soul, is in HER lap.
Tai Chi for Health Institute Senior Trainer, Deborah Yaffee, will guide you through Dr. Paul Lam’s enjoyable, effective, mind-body Tai Chi for Health program. This program utilizes the power of mental imagery and intention as you explore the health-giving principles of tai chi and qigong .
Life is full of changes. Transitions come, welcomed or not. They come into our lives; and into the lives of those we care for and serve. Some transitions shake the core of our very being. Some come as exciting challenges. Both can be blessings. Come, reflect and pray with the God who created us all and journeys with us in every transition.
Come celebrate the official beginning of Autumn as you harvest the abundance of those ideas/dreams that came to fruition in the summer. We will honor the change of the season through a morning retreat focused on the themes of the season concluding with a ritual to honor the arrival of Autumn!
The shortened days of autumn call us to introspection and the regathering of our energy for the long, dark winter. Align your inner and outer self with this eight week yoga series.
Traditionally therapists have not been trained to explore the religious/spiritual dimension of a person’s life and spiritual directors have not always explored a person’s family/work/relational history. In this presentation, we will consider what is missed when either a therapist or a spiritual director omits a more complete understanding of the whole person, body, mind and spirit.
