Write Your Way Forward Workshop
Sunday, June 12 - 10:00AM - 4:00PM, includes lunch.
Facilitated by Cathy Rigali
No writing experience required!
Based on Amherst Writers and Artists Method, developed by Pat Schneider, our workshop will include a number of writing exercises. A variety of unique prompts are used to generate creative ideas. Writing is done in free-flow without editing as you write.
People are encouraged to share their pieces with the group and only positive comments are offered. All writing remains confidential. The leader writes along with the group and is a full participant. While this is not a therapy group, writing together can be a therapeutic experience.
We will use the Labyrinth at Genesis as a prompt for one of our exercises. Walking the Labyrinth is a moving meditation and often deepens insight. Finger Labyrinth can be used instead of walking, if needed.
A favorite comment from a past workshop participant: “Together we laughed, we cried and then we laughed until we cried.”
