Aging – A Privilege and A Challenge

Friday - Monday, June 23-26, 2023

Facilitated by Betty Hill Crowson

Cost: $375

There are many circumstances which can make a woman aware of the aging process: empty nest syndrome, menopause, the loss of parents, retirement, the death of friends and spouses, the onset of aches and pains and physical limitations, increased sensitivity. Living in a culture which values youth, success, and physicality, when we age and lose our external means of defining who and what we are, we are continually challenged to find new ways of feeling relevant in changed circumstances. This extended weekend retreat for women of all ages and stages provides the means for us to do just that. Through presentations, sharing, ritual and music, it will enable participants to move into a deeper acceptance of what is and a greater compassion for self and others.  Especially, the retreat will help us to redefine our perception of growing older as we deepen our spiritual understanding and connection and come to realize that we always have more to offer and enjoy.

Do What I Can
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain: If I can ease one life the aching, Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin Unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain.
— Emily Dickinson
