MEDITATIVE NATURE DRAWING:  WALK, SEE & SKETCH BEAUTIFUL PATTERNS IN NATURE

A day-long workshop that includes connecting with nature and our sketchbooks, looking for the leafy, flower and organic patterns we find as we explore the surrounding woods and gardens in a quiet, contemplative manner.

The day will begin with gathering indoors and a brief introduction to pattern sketching as it applies to nature. We'll incorporate a variety of techniques, from Zentangle pattern drawing to pen and watercolor sketching. Then we'll go outdoors on our walks, in small groups and take photos, collect samples, if appropriate, and look at the myriad of repetitive patterns found in nature. We'll also have time for sketching what we see, and also looking closer for hidden patterns.

(Please bring water proof pen, pencil, eraser, water colors & sketchbook.)

$65. Includes lunch.

It is the duty of every cultured man or woman to read sympathetically the scriptures of the world. If we are to respect others' religions as we would have them respect our own, a friendly study of the world's religions is a sacred duty.
