Researchers and writers often underscore the spiritual opportunities associated with aging. Some have called aging a “natural monastery,” a time permeated by “everyday mysticism,” a time when the losses and diminishments that occur “clear away the obstacles to experiencing and appreciating each moment with its own special beauty and/or pain.”
Aging is a time for “ContemplAgeing,” that is an entering into the sacred space of the unique circumstances of your own aging in a contemplative way.
During this retreat, through reflection and prayer we will view aging from these perspectives, envisioning it as a time to (1) enhance spiritual growth, (2) deepen spiritual life and practice, and (3) expand the fullness of life.
